What lacking do you see in Santorum? Is it his love of country or faith? How about his family values?

He is the underdog, but I hope hope he takes the role of BIG DOG.

Santorum has gained the presidential patina with his showing in Iowa. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him continue to gain from the Palin crowd, the former Cain supporters, and those fleeing Bachman fans. Romney will eventually be facing the last standing conservative, and he will summarily get his arse kicked in.

I've heard about some issues with his past actions concerning spending, but I don't know a lot; I'm sure we'll start hearing more tomorrow. From what I know of his positions, they sound right.

I've only watched him in a few interviews and, for me at this early stage, he doesn't seem strong, doesn't have leadership qualities I'd hope to see.

But.. I'm fine with him as the nominee, if he should get it. I'm not sure he is the one I'd put there, but I'll certainly back him 100% if he wins it.

My primary worry now is a repeat of the split vote in the notMcCain/notRomney vote. I'm very much hoping we can unite behind one candidate early enough to defeat Romney.
