People deal with grief in all sorts of ways.
If bringing the baby home gave the Santorums some comfort who has the right to condemn them?

You know, I never read that! I do know Waugh’s “The Loved One,” and Jessica Mitford’s “The American Way of Death.” One is about Forrest Lawn, the Hollywood cemetary.

You know,,,, I’m a hardened old codger...... This thread is bringing tears to my eyes. I’d like to meet colmes in a dark alley. My ex and I were looking at a house, built in 1820, here in Ohio. I was surprised by the tree trunks that were holding up what seemed to be a perfectly substantial parlor floor. My ex-Father-in-law said the trunks were placed there to brace the floor when a previous owner was laid out. Heavy casket, and many friends grieving.

I watched (again) yesterday Third Reich: The Rise and Today a Star Trek TNG episode about a Human Colony that practices Eugenics and some of them wanting to leave, but that would "Destroy" the Colony, and to me it seems that the Left believes that EVERYTHING is a means to an end, Children, Happiness, Freedom, if they could some how control it, than the world could be better.
Yesterday I watched Twilight zone all day and am never disappointed by the brilliance of Rod Sterling amazing and frightening vision of the future. "The Obsolete Man" is one of my personal favorites. In it, Henry Wordsworth is a librarian who has been declared an obsolete keeper of obsolete knowledge and will be liquidated. I like the part where he pulls out a bible and explains that he's kept it hidden for 20 years because owning it is a crime punishable by death.

" An enemy article from 2009 makes it look true. The dead baby was but 20 WEEKS...what's that? A pound and a half?
I'm sorry folks but this looks like some very sick sh!t to me."
Why don't you go and say that to every woman who has had a miscarriage.
Why don't you go and say that to every family who were anticipating the birth of their child , but, turned out the baby miscarried.

OK Folks
Read the friggin' article and ask yourself:
When, in my ENTIRE LIFE have I even heard of such a thing before? Who brings home a 20 WEEK premmie, dead, and kisses and cuddles it with their other children?
When have you even heard of such a thing before and why the hell don't you think it's weird?

The dead baby was but 20 WEEKS...what's that? A pound and a half?So tell me......does the age or weight of the baby make it any less important to the family? You sound very heartless and sick to me!

I’ll never forget my 6 yo son reaching into my mon’s casket to kiss her (I wasn’t prepared for that!) and then stepping back “I hope you have a good time in Heaven, Grandmommie” and my 8 YO daughter touching my grandmother’s nose. We all have to learn about death our own way and if we have have good examples, we handle it ok.
My heart goes out to the Santorum family for this private time being mocked by this miserable human being.

Having never had children myself, I can't imagine the sorrow of losing a newborn regardless of its age........If bringing that deceased child home to allow the family members to meet and grieve over the sibling that was never to be, allows them to have closure, then I am all for it. Who am I to judge whether that is "sick" or not?
A five month developed baby is still a baby regardless of its weight.....

At least 50% of the population is women. They likely won't.

What? Leave a cherished baby's corpse in the the hospital utility room for pick-up as if it were trash? As mother of four I would take that baby home, wash it, and dress it myself, and if legally possible the wake would be in the home and the funeral from my home.

If that is the best you have to convince that Santorum is “some crazy &(^*” you missed your mark. I like him all the more. It wasn’t a fetus, it was a baby. Heck, you couldn’t hit a barn at 20 paces with this logic of yours. I will support Santorum if nominated.

To some people, it's just a fetus.
To: Williams
You are right; most people would not have thought to bring the child’s corpse home, but if that was the wishes of the Santorums, who are us to question them? Santorum 2012.

I think ‘Play” was Colmes’ word- I feel pretty certain they were not having any fun and games that day.
