Everyone I talk to about politics is utterly “disgusted” with corrupt politicians in both Parties; they want them “all” gone in November 2012 and plan to finish cleaning the DC sewer in 2014. State and local politicians aren’t fairing any better in everyone’s opinion. The anger is real and the rage is seething, IMO.
I just received an e-mail this morning that Congressman Mac Thornberry was not running for re-election. (my congressman) He is one of the “good guys”. If it is not caused by family issues, it is a very bad bell weather for where we are at.
I have interacted with his staff on several issues and he has always been on the right side. Not the kind we need to loose.
Right on!!! I happend to listen to a speech by Richard Dreyfus, the actor, on Saturday. Now, Mr. Drefus is as liberal, left-wing as a peron comes, but.....he has had a change of heart and politics. The speech was long, but...very informative, as he claims America will disappear shortly if we do not go back to the constitution and the ways of our founding fathers. He blames educators, politicians, hand out government, lack of civic education and an uninformed electorate for our coming downfall. He basically blames politicians of all stripes and says if we do not return to an America that honors individual contribution and excellence we will perish as the one true nation in history that allowed the individual to succeed and prosper from individual effort and reward!!!
