It can't be done without strict term limits for every office. Even if the Republicans win the presidency AND a super majority, government will not be cut in any significant way. A super majority win without term limits will only delay the inevitable death of our republic.

Without term limits the Republicans will go directly into "don't rock the boat" mode. They will simply do the absolute minimum to appease the base and not spoil their true goal which is to just be reelected time and time again.

We must eliminate the possibility for these power drunk people to stay in Washington indefinitely. Until this happens we will continue down the road to complete collapse.

I agree completely.

I even question whether Washington D.C. still has much (good) functional purpose. Let the Congress et al. caucus electronically, and remain in their home states, subject to the electorate’s scrutiny and approbrium when they act as rulers rather than representatives.

Separate them from each other, from lobbyists, and from the focused media influence.

At least one of two things are inevitably in the future for the US gov. Inc.:
1) Financial collapse similar to that which befell the Soviet Union;
2) radical reform which will be imposed upon them.
