I agree with this guy. Newt is not perfect, but he’s feisty and scrappy, and I like that.

I agree with this guy. Newt is not perfect, but he’s feisty and scrappy, and I like that.

I also agree. I was listening to the radio the other day, and a caller mentioned that the problem wasn't the pols, it was the electorate. He said that you have about 35%-40% of the people who think that Socialism and big government are not only normal, but advisable. He said (and he's right) that we need a candidate and a President who can teach the public WHY capitalism and freedom are not only inextricably linked, but essential to this nation if we're to avoid a coming dark age.

Anyone opposed to Newt should remember that we're not electing a messiah, we're electing a politician. By definition, that means someone imperfect, someone with votes and stands that are, in retrospect, far less than ideal. But we need someone on our side who can not only articulate ideas in a cogent fashion, but do so aggressively and without any shame. It is time for conservatives to stop apologizing and start attacking the enemies of our Republic, to take it back because we are correct, because our ideas are time-tested and moral.

Remember also that the Perfect is the enemy of the Good. Good is better than the anti-American enemy of our Republic that currently occupies the WH, and since Perfect doesn't exist we'll end up stuck with the present occupant.
