There could be no greater insult to the US military than to name a fighting vessel after one of the most corrupt, venal, and self-serving individuals ever to sit in the US Congress. The problem is that Navy SEAL Captain Bailey is appealing to SecNav Ray Mabus, who himself is a corrupt sleazebag.
Pray for America.

Awhile back, I heard from someone who lives in Somerset County that the airport there, named after Murtha, was used mainly by him and his cronies. I don't know if this has changed since Murtha died, but I was told folks who live in Johnstown who want to fly out had to go to Pittsburgh to catch a flight there. Why? Because the only ones allowed to use it were Murtha and his buddies! I was told the military was chased out of the airport and I also remember hearing that some of the radar was disconnected. Can anyone on this thread verify any fo this? That airport cost the taxpayers millions. It's criminal!
I was on a blog with some Marines after news they were going to name the ship after Murtha and one commented they should call the ship “cold blooded killers.”. It is disgraceful!

I hope PA Freepers will read your post #22 and provide an update on the airport. Would be interesting to see a video of the airport to see if it is being used.
If it is true that the radar has been disconnected, perhaps the airport is now used for drug running???

If its the airport I’m thinking of in Johnstown, it’s an Air National Guard site..so no, no public fights...

Murtha didn’t need an airport to arrive at his present destination. Bob

Yes, many many prayers for Sgt Wuterich. I don't mean to distract from this brave Marine. I'm disgusted with the evil and corrupt Murtha, who attempted to destroy men who risked their lives to keep us all safe. I hope it is hotter than Hades where he has landed.
This nightmare needs to end promptly for this Marine and his family. They are in my prayers.

Thanks SueRae. At least the Air National Guard will get to use it, even though it was meant to be for public use.

Sorry about the double post. Just don’t know how I manage to do that sometimes.
But anything to keep this thread at least somewhat active for SGT.Frank Wuterich! Keeping him in my prayers for freedom. God Bless him and all our Military heroes, past and present!

Thanks Sue Rae. If the military is using this airport, then that is good news. Sounds like a nice airport and I can’t think of any group more deserving of nice things than our military. Thank you again for the info.

I went to the website...and it is LARGELY Air National Guard...with a small flight schedule to Dulles only./?/ It looks like it serves both purposes..perhaps not so much now that Murtha is gone.
