Miami - NBA superstar LeBron James is engaged to marry long-time girlfriend Savannah Brinson, who accepted his proposal at a lavish New Year's Eve dinner party in Miami.
Brinson was the high school sweetheart of the Miami Heat playmaker and is the mother of James' two sons, seven-year-old LeBron Jnr and four-year-old Bryce.
No wedding date was immediately set.
The party was hosted by Dwyane Wade, James's Heat team-mate. The bash was also a birthday party for James, who turned 27 on Friday.
As the clock struck midnight, Wade made a key off-court pass to James, handing over the engagement ring he had been holding until that moment.

How could he give her a ring? He has no rings. He’s going to have to get busy to catch up to Jordan.
She is a pretty girl - but I’ve always thought he looked like a characture of a sleezy overnight millionaire.
You know what would do the United States a lot of good?
If the NBA and the NFL owners and coaches would enact a “no out-of-wedlock kids” policy. They don’t sign unmarried twenty-year-olds with children. You marry her or you’re off the team.
Hollywood studio bosses should resurrect the same standards.
The whole marriage culture in this country would change so fast, you wouldn’t believe it.

I didn’t read I was scanning the posted articles as I do every day...I just replied......why do people post this crap? Is this ET, The View or People magazine, Today show?? Again I say who cares.
