Then you will see the troops advancing parallel to the unmarked trucks to face the demonstrators. The troops didn't stop the trucks or arrest their drivers, they came out of their APCs that were lined side by side blocking the street.

"After the demonstrators broke the chain-link fence surrounding the Ministry of Defense, the military fielded 20,000 soldiers and armored vehicles. The military arrested 370 demonstrators and severely beat them up. There were no deaths because the military leaders are afraid of being accused of war crimes if they open fire. What I have been told is that it is the major reason for preventing the military from putting down beards/ islamists, and reinstating law and order in Egypt.
