Theres something profoundly tragic about the failed presidency of Barack Obama. He was supposed to be a new kind of president, a man who embodied hope and would transcend petty politics and even race. Instead, were left with a downgraded America that is stagnating under the weight of its bloated government. As tragic as that alone is, even this is but a mere symptom of Mr. Obamas larger fundamental failure: He simply does not trust the Americans who entrusted him with the presidency.
Most presidents, we believe, ascend to the Oval Office, but for the 44th president, the reverse seems true. Whatever majesty the White House can muster must rise to the grandiosity of Barack Obama. We are the ones we have been waiting for, said the man who writes autobiographies and later would claim to control the rise of the oceans.
As recently as this month, the food-stamp president of 13 million unemployed Americans declared himself the fourth-most-accomplished president in the history of the United States, eclipsing, in his own mind, President Reagan and even our nations father, George Washington. That in only three years. Barack the Magnificent wont allow trivialities like $15 trillion debts or historic national credit downgrades dissuade him.

“there is nothing I can do to stop it.”
There is something you can do to stop it. I’m doing it everyday. God is in the equation. You have to be open-minded, if you are interested, let me know.
“Mr. Hope and Change wants to create a nation humbled; humiliated, casting-aside capitalism and individual freedoms for one where we the people are government controlled. This would be a system that genuflects mediocrity, steals personal aspiration and opportunity, and punishes those who strive to succeed.”
A very good summation. Obama is all about statism, collectivism and controlling the people. In his distorted mind, individual liberty and freedom are obstacles to those objectives. Unfortunately, the congress is all too willing to go along with his program as long as they can keep their cushy jobs. We need to clean house, starting with the Narcissist-in-Chief, in 2012.
Freedom brought this country great opportunities and properity. Marxism has brought us economic hardship and malaise.
“Its really very strange.”
Since narcissists don’t deal well with failure, it will be interesting watching him struggle politcally in an election year as the economy continues its inevitable downward slide under his policies.
Inasmuch as the term “righteous wind” has not been a staple phrase in American politics, and, upon further research, one finds these words from Chairman Mao:
The ill wind of opportunism is falling, the righteous wind of socialism is on the rise.
He ain’t my president....uh-uh, nope, never.....
Deceiving people takes a lot of engery. Must be nerve racking trying to maintain a ruse and cover up to avoid being unmasked by the American people. Has to be taking a toll on him physically. Karma will out him eventually.
“Anyone else getting a Howard Hughes kind of vibe from all this?”
Yes, but HH didn’t have his own “body man” did he? ;)
“These are the kind that go off their rocker.”
I’ve always thought he’s going to have a Captain Queeg moment (a la Humphrey Bogart in the Caine Mutiny). He hates to be challenged on anything and gets visibly upset. Just a matter of time IMO.
If you think you can stop that....then good luck.
