Yeah well our governor isn’t gonna take his crap! She plans on taking this all the way to the Supreme Court. Go Nikki!
I dont get it.
The reason you don't get it is that your state, Ohio, is not subject to Article 5 of the 1965 Voting Rights Act. South Carolina, along with 13 other states, is.
As such, any change in voting law is subject to the clearance of the DOJ. And Eric Holder wants the Democrat party to retain the ability to cheat in South Carolina.
That's it...in a nutshell.
An argument I never hear regarding disenfranchising these voters is that an illegally cast vote disenfranchises MY VOTE. Realistically I’m the disenfranched voter! So I am the one that is penalized by illegal votes. The legal citizens of this country are being screwed royally.
I feel that when a fraudulent vote cancels my vote, it is taking away my constitutional right to vote.
I also feel that fraudulent votes are cast in favor of democRATS by huge margins. In fact, 100% of fraudulent votes may be cast in favor of the RATS.
BUmp for Others to see!!
This is a good thing so Voter ID laws help people.
The big issue is,of course, voter fraud and enabling people who want to vote multiple times or illegal aliens who want to vote one or more times under their multiple fake identities.
Ironically, a woman who sued to overturn one of the States recently passed Voter ID laws because she claimed she was being discriminated against had her case thrown out of court when the Judge had her open her purse in court and found that she had multiple ID cards, all issued before the Voter ID law had been enacted.
Sheriff Arpaio needs to arrest Holder and odumbi.
There is no irony - they are consistent. They are still pandering to racists.
>>We have to show an id when we vote in Ohio...but in South Carolina this is considered a violation of Voting Rights Act?
I dont get it.<<
The Confederate States must be punished until the end of time. THAT is what the states being sued need to say: “WE HAVE HAD ENOUGH. No more punishment for the War.”
Not all CSA states (examples, FL, TN, NC, except for some counties) are covered, and some outside the South (Alaska?) are included.

At which point someone should ask what those percentages equate to in real numbers. It would then be clear that far more whites would be "disenfranchised" than minorities and would show them to be the racist fools they are. In 2010, S. Carolina had 66.2% whites and 27.9% Blacks. That means fully twice as many whites don't have the required ID.
We revisit this same nonsense again and again. Isn’t interesting that the left who would make it possible for as many Americans as possible ( or even not possible) to receive “free” housing,”free” medical, “free”food, and any number of other “free” things can not provide a free ID?
Otherwise, how does this no ID thing work..do you just say, “I do not have a ID but I am going to vote anyhow?”
“No, I do not have a ID but I will be opening an account at your bank none the less?” How about, “No, I do not have a ID but I will be buyiing the car you are selling?”
I can’t get a library card without legal ID or as I found out recently ride the Amtrak train..??? Were my civil rights violated????
Getting a voter ID is ‘not convenient’ for minorities who might find the process difficult? But filling out the forms for food stamps is ‘not a problem’!! Do they think we are stupid? (...uh, never mind)

Anything short of Anonymous Voting is racist./s
This is PROOF POSITIVE they have no intention of ever working, as one could not get any job without ID.
Sounds Unconstitutional to me if the same laws are not applied to all 57 States.
