There were things about Bachmann that I could have gotten behind. BUT..she whines. I heard her yesterday on FOX and she absolutely sounded pitiful. I hate that.
GIVE ME SARAH PALIN..Please?
IMHO...
The reality is that Sarah is not running.
It’s embarassingly mistaken to think:
No choice of Sarah = I must vote for a statist Republican
On the contrary, Sarah’s “smalltown” principles would appear to contradict voting for big statist / cronyist Republicans, and cry out for a vote for a “smalltown”, pro-Christian, pro-small business candidate - no matter their color or gender or any other personal characteristic.
After all, if it’s a best-dressed, most slick personal presentation, Romney would come in second only to perhaps Sam Malone.
But I would not assume the 1st and 2nd would be protected very energetically during a hypothetical Romney administration; in fact, I’d assume those rights would be trade away a bit by it, continuing the pattern of all administrations since WWII. Mainstream Republicans don’t want to be seen as “extreme”, so they trade away our God-given rights that are not theirs to trade away.
Michele Bachmann’s voting record in Congress is here:
http://www.govtrack.us/congress/person.xpd?id=412216
No media outlet is nice to Michele. Fox, at 10:15 Eastern time this morning had some dufus on who was interviewing a campaign spokesman (woman) for Michele’s campaign.
The jerk was excrutiatingly obvious in his negativity about the Bachmann campaign. That kind of reporting is disgusting. I am getting very sick and tired of Fox and their mainstreamism. Only occasionally is there a glimmer of support for truth nowadays. If one wants to hear a pro-homo, pro-islam, very pc channel there are many other options besides Fox. Case in point, the sovereign debt bubble is constantly whitewashed on ALL networks.
Fox hates Bachmann. All other media hates Bachmann.
Look at her record. All conservative.
Don’t trust my words, check it out for yourself. Remember when conservatives were checking out everything for themselves and studying rather than taking the media’s word for truth ? It was a fad a couple of years ago. Now we all take our cues from fantasies and longing for glories of the past rather than conservative principles. IMHO, if Reagan heard all the mindless appeals to his legacy, his first reaction would be that future generations should not, in their earnest desire to learn from the past, forget to think for themselves.
I don’t care if Michele sounds bad, looks bad or if she smells bad.
I did my stinkin’ homework.
I looked over a lot of her voting record.
ON EVERY SINGLE VOTE that I looked at - I (the wacky ultra conservative) agreed with her vote.
That’s my basis for supporting her - her voting record matches my principles better than any other candidate.
For example, I support government moving towards getting completely out of the medical field in a structured, methodical way over the coming decades. It obviously can’t happen overnight. But in the long term, costs will go down in a true free-market system that has a little thing called true competition. But I am highly suspect of any new or replacement government-sponsored programs since they inevitably grow into a dysfunctional financial disaster. So I can’t back any big-government or big-business candidate that sees the future of American medicine being run by the government-big-business cabal. That rules out RomneyCare(tm) and Newt the statist “consultant” for me, personally. Do I harbor some delusion that Michele as President would fix everything in 4 years, no. But based on her voting record, I think she’s the candidate that would best keep America from going in a wrong direction and get American going in a better direction.
If she had snot dripping down her nose and smelly dirty clothes on as she whined and whined and whined, but she voted Conservatively, as a conservative I’d see her as the logical choice.
