Big Rubio supporter for future higher office and not a fan of the birther movement - thus I have extrapilated that he does not interpret the “natural born” phrase the way you do.

Levin definitely doesn't support birthers. Last I heard him, he banned them from his show and perhaps his forums as well.

And yeah, Levin was very clear that as Rubio was born in the US he is a natural born citizen. Period. I believe Levin is a constitutional scholar and does not buy the birther interpretation of what an NBC is.

Birther conspiracies are a silly waste of time. The issue is a giant loser and will never go anywhere.

On this issue, from my reading, I could see it either way. Thus, when a true scholar like Levin weighs in, I give it serious consideration. And when a scholar like John Roberts swears Obama in, I give that consideration too. Meanwhile, the birthers consumed with the NBC interpretation normally froth at the keyboard and accuse everybody who does not agree with them of being American hating subversives. There is no rational conversation with them. Thus - when deciding which interpretation I will believe, I put a lot of credence into the side that has rational and reasonable people making rational and reasonable defenses of their position. And in this area, Levin and company are way ahead.

So levin is the final authority?
It is not ‘birther’ and it is not ‘conspiracy’!
It is the constitution!
Article 2 natural born citizen is NOT subject to interpretation. It has been determined in many supreme court cases and in founders’ correspondence and in “law of nations’ by Vattel. It has never changed. Congress has attempted to change it several times but failed everytime!

Levin is correct.

You are correct.

And I can't believe these silly threads keep going and going.

Only the cold fusion ones may be sillier.
