"The people that can least afford these shoes are buying them, and what happens as a result of that? Well there's more crime," said Ben Mendez, a Hispanic business leader.....................WTF???

Of all the responsability-avoiding, blame-assigning bs I’ve ever heard! But you have to expect this from growing up on Uncle Sams Welfare Plantation. “Ain’t my fault’’.

They're calling on Nike and Michael Jordan to change the way they sell the highly sought after Air Jordan sneakers. Yes, we need to show apathy toward common criminals and sacrifice for the good of the nation by making criminals and malcontents feel good. /s
It's right in line with 0bama's "change" directive for America.

"These shoes have always had a place of value in Black life," said Malik Ingram. How about that crack pipe, Malik? Got some value love for that?
Quanell X and ministers called on Jordan and Nike founder Phil Knight to lower the price of the shoes
Quanell 10 has lots of money but has never worked.
Maybe he should buy some kicks for the brothers. Just sayin'...

I heard this BS on FOX earlier today. It is not up to Jordan or Nike to control the behavior of the black community.
These stupid shoes look like a joke and it is a damn shame black folks can’t see they aren’t successful based on some cheesy looking overpriced shoes.
God help them. Instead of calling on black folks to get a grip, they call on others to change their behavior to control the idiocy of black people.

It’s not the sneakers that are the problem.
It’s the low-rent, trashy clientele.

How about the ministers start preaching the tenth amendment, instead of this social justice garbage.

I’m not really sure what the “activists” are requesting. Do they want Nike to just hand out shoes to the lower socioeconomic population to be “fair”? Yeah.... like there wouldn’t be a riot if THAT happened!
To: mandaladon
“lower the price of the shoes and meet customer demand”.
...sorry. That’s not how it works. Customer demand is already extremely high. I say raise the price even higher! And then higher!!

"These shoes have always had a place of value in Black life," said Malik Ingram. Now there is the racist summarizing of the year!
At least under 0bama some now understand the appreciation of good protective gear for the foot. /MS

It ain’t the shoes or how they are marketed that needs changing.
To: mandaladon
My question is, when is nike going to start making air jordan belts?.....
Just a thought...
To: albie
If they quadrupled production and charged $40 nobody would want them.
