Fact: the father’s role is discipline, not the mom...the symbolic black mom yelling at the child holding her shoe or otherwise which Hollywood has perpetuated is a myth. That’s what it is, not what it’s supposed to be. Tyler Perry has tried to cover this, but still doesn’t even that well.
