Um, have you ever heard of homeschooling? No child is “ forced” to assemble at public schools as you decribe
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Nonsense! This is a NEA “talking point”.

Let's call the extra parents must pay to home or private school what it is: RANSOM! Parents must RANSOM their children from government control! Some call it jizya.

Children whose parents are unable to homeschool ( and there are many) or can not send their children to private school are under police threat to send their children to their government assigned indoctrination center ( misnamed “school”)

And...I see that you conveniently forgot to mention that taxpayers are under armed police threat to pay for this First Amendment violation of freedom of assembly, freedom to freely exercise their religion, freedom of press and speech, and freedom from the government establishment of atheism.

Next....In my county there are **no** private schools in my county or surrounding counties. The government monopoly cartel with its price-fixed tuition of “zero” has created such a hostile business environment that there are **no** private schools. Who can compete against “tuition-free”?

Conclusion: Government socialist K-12 schools are a human rights abomination that crush every First Amendment human Right of the parent, child and taxpayer. Personally, I hold every socialist school teacher who makes these indoctrination centers possible in contempt. I will not have them for a friend.

Can I ask you what the alternative is? So far as I know, it’s public schools, private schools, or homeschooling. You obviously don’t like the former, and you want the other two for free! That’s classic liberal thinking for you. The fact is that the overwhelming majority of Americans support public schools as a necessity for education future generations. At the same time, if you don’t like public schools, you have the freedom to educate your kids another way - at your own expense, of course. That is hardly ransom, my friend, since the private sector, not the government, collects.

Perhaps you would agree that public schools need more local control - getting rid of the “socialist indoctrination” curriculum you mention. While basic education must be made available to all Americans, there has to be greater oversight from parents and the community, not the NEA.

Regarding the unavailability of private schools in your county, I would advise you to move - you are still free to do that. Freedom doesn’t mean getting stuff for free, it means you have the freedom to change your situation by your own means.
