didn't they just do this in Greece?.....before the austerity and when they thought there could be a military coup?......get rid of the officers before they get rid of you....

So when Dubya is in office, we’re pro military. Odumbo gets in office the military is full of communists? You bots never cease to disgust me. Not surprising however considering the reaction many on FR put out when the Walter Reed scandal hit in 07.

The remark about our military is a bit bizarre. They vote for/against their commander-in-chief every four years like everyone else, but they follow orders.
As for Greece, its main problem is that it is a far-left welfare state gone-broke. But a major reason for that crappy state of affairs is the popular backlash against a right-wing military coup a generation or two ago.
