1-5 are excellent observations suppressed by the liberal media.

But 6 and 7 are meaningless, because the definition of “poverty” shifts like the sands of the Sahara, and cannot be counted upon for any rational discourse. According to the latest leftist definition, 50% of the population is in poverty. As high as the unemployment numbers are, do you believe that 1/2 of the population is out selling apples on the corner?

Poverty today is what middle class was in 1960.

Your average “poor” person today has : multiple color TV’s, cell phones, air conditioning, 1-2 automobiles and has controlled rent. Many of these things were considered luxury items fifty years ago.

I am not talking about real poor people that live on an Indian reservation out west or in some coal mining town in the Appalacian Mtns.

A lot of the poor people today are just working the govt. system.
