Ridership on high speed rail in China is only about 800,000 people per day (292 million per year). That is no more than Delta, Southwest and American Airlines combined. Clearly this is an old, outdated technology that will soon go the way of the horse and buggy.
So using advanced technology to transport on high speed rails makes one a "liberal hippie"?
