I think the parents and leaders did the right thing. Start another group, such as Campfire Girls, Christian Girls Group or such, and continue on your way. The freaks and queers faction hates to be ignored and the Girl Scouts will eventually learn, become defunct or become the Girl, Freaks and Queers Scouts.
The upper management of the Girl Scouts has been run by militant lesbians for at least 20 years.
