It seems to me that as a retired state Prosecutor, you would look at all of the known facts, consider the alternatives and go with the best case... that you can win.

This retired Detective Sergeant believes that you should reevaluate your case. ;>)

With the present lineup and state of our country, there is no room for a plea-bargain or a dismissal. This case has got to go all they way... and our best case is Gingrich.

Go Newt Go......

I appreciate that and understand your point. I truly do. But for me, Newt is just two sides of the same coin. He will NOT improve America one iota. Further, he is not someone against who we can fight because he is in our Party. We can stymie Obama via filibuster, holding the House, etc. But Newt is not to be trusted. He flips on a dime and is very liberal on some issues. He will change with the wind. And there will be no way to fight it. America will NOT improve under Newt. At best, this is a sideways move from Obama.

It is time for us to stop being scared because they tell us we must be. It is time to demand a Conservative or we will abandon the GOP. And being a Prosecutor, I know all too well that sometimes you must lose a battle to win a war.
