You are exactly right. The problem is that we thought we were making some progress in that direction with the last election, but with Democrat plant, Crybaby Boehner as speaker, Obama has gotten everything he wants passed.
The presidential race is the same: 2008 = McCain, 2012 = Gingrich/Romney. Absolutely no progress at all. It's as if the whole Tea Party movement never happened.
I think a lot of conservatives will be discouraged from believing that change can be made from within the two major parties.
