IMO, it was a very race baiting movie....
...set in Mississippi during the 60's....and most of the town were depicted as stereotypical white supremacists who treated their 'help' as peons.

It was painted with a broad brush and I found it offensive.

The feces pie idea was vile and disgusting....and supposedly the uppity woman ate it and deserved what she got.

Lovely movie~sarcasm....and sadly very popular.

That is exactly what I was thinking my wife was reading that book this last month I saw on the back cover it was recommended by the “Huffington post” and “NPR”

When I saw the trailers I thought... Hollywood must think we need more poking of THAT scab. They don’t want us to ever forget about that era and move on. They don’t want the races to get along and be happy. They don’t really want us to sing kumbaya and love each other.

That’s a good idea. Or have them do community service as a nursing assistant in a nursing home. Doubt they’ll think feces are a joke anymore after a few cleanup jobs.

My dad is in a nursing home, I wouldn’t want sick minded teens working around the helpless and infirmed.
