I think we ought to require every person employed by a network tv news station or affiliate to demostrate a mastery of the United States Constitution and history. They should also be able to show an understanding of economics and science.
After all, they are delivering information to MILLIONS of people. If the market isn't good enough for air travel, it shouldn't be good enough for the Hussein fellators in the media.
Competition is the only answer.
Not sure how much good that’d do. Even if it were a requirement for journalists to have a working knowledge of history, the Constitution, etc., there’s still little way to guarantee they’ll represent the facts accurately. It would be a regulatory nightmare trying to enforce something like this.
I said this with tongue in cheek....I think the new pilot rules are asinine. And I know news anchors are more ignorant than pilots are tired.
See post 4. :-)
Ahh, okay lol. My mistake.
No education or knowledge required but the Society of Professional "Journalists" does make every effort to force employees of the MSM to submit to rigorous PC restrictions on free speech and knowledge.
These 1960s Marxist-Alinsky campus spoiled-brat geezers and their ideological issue all feeeeeeeeeel just one thing vis-a-vis our Republic: "Bring it all down, man."
Here employees of the MSM are forced to assume the position before starting the day in Washington, D.C.
Also, drug testing for them, as well.
Would bring DC to a screeching halt.

That might be a fairly good idea to apply to members of Congress.
