TLR, One of the reports I heard was that he died nearly two weeks ago--read that on Monday or Tuesday. Which means the Chia Pet "On The Spot Guidance" at the DPRK sole Supermarket would have been staged by a double, or old footage, correct? In which case, it may well have been a shooting or poisoning? Who would gain by such a move? "Fishlips" and his wife, "Black Eyes?" If this is what happened, the Boy was in on it? Or just being used as a chess piece?
Very interesting.

(Many attempts were made over the years to kill Kim Jong il. This one may finally have succeeded.)

I could imagine plenty of folks plotting against his son. If his son has total power, his son might replace the older folks running the show with this friends.

If he did die a couple weeks back (granted - a big IF) then it’s plausible his death was not “natural” and it took that long for the North’s power brokers to sort things out.
Assuming all that’s true (again - another BIG assumption) we may have on our hands a true succession crisis of sorts that will likely be played out over the next weeks and months.
