Gingrich to Romney: Let’s have a one-on-one debate about those attack ads of yours, tough guy

There’s Good Newt, Bad Newt, and now Righteously P.O.’d Newt. The image of Romney as a gutless, too-slick moneybags who’s paying others to do his dirty work for him while pretending that he’s powerless to stop them would resonate deeply if Gingrich can really push it over the next two weeks. But how’s he going to do that? There are no more debates scheduled before the caucuses and people are tuning out of politics for the holidays. And even if Newt decided to run ads about it, the likely beneficiary as Romney suffers and slumps in the polls would be Ron Paul, not Gingrich. The terrible dilemma for resource-strapped candidates in Iowa is that not only do they need a message that can beat two very different candidates in Paul and Mitt, but a Paul win there is almost as good as a Romney win when it comes to Mitt winning the nomination. That’s why some social conservatives are scrambling to unite behind a single candidate, of course, even if their choice of candidate to unite behind seems curious. You need to beat both right now or else Romney starts to look inevitable.

Yes, YES, YES! But Mitty won’t, will he? The weasel is —— a weasel.

Romney wouldn’t be the “inevitable” candidate if the others would start running negative campaign ads against him. NO ONE DOES. He is allowed to get away with his pro-abortion past, his homo-marriage advocating past, his anti-gun past, his government takeover of health insurance past. It’s barely mentioned in the debates and he always wiggles out of the question and the next day there is no follow-up to his lifelong liberal positions. He governed exactly like a democrat when he was governor of Mass. Gingrich is viciously attacked by all the other candidates, especially Ron Paul and the dingy Bachmann. Lie after lie. Romney puts his attack dogs on Gingrich telling lie after lie in campaign ads all over Iowa. Gingrich does not have the 200 million bank account to run ads defending hinmself.

It is beginning to pan out that the GOP establishment, in cahoots with the majority of the others running against Romney are actually working together to get Romney the nomination so Mr. Liberal will lose to Obama. Gingrich can beat Obama. The white version of Obama can not.

Opening lines of the first debate between the two liberals running against each other for president.

Obama: I would like to thank the American people for letting me serve the last four years as their president and I would especialy like to thank my opponent Gov Romney for being the inspiration for my government takeover of the nation’s healthcare.

I especially would like to thank him for sending his team of lawyers to the White House to make sure everthing I was trying to do was all legal and legit. America owes you a great debt Governor Romney. So once again thank you very much from the bottom of my heart”.

ROMNEY:

I am too happy to see him rip Romney in this rabid fashion. And, I am even more glad to see him truly turn up his rabid style for the whole electorate to see before votes are cast. Who the heck will vote for such a rabid, angry grandpa for President. He will lose in a landslide.

Isn't the Newsmax debate still on? Why doesn't Mitt grow a pair and show up to that? I don't understand how any average person outside the beltway elite could be supporting Mitt at all now...

Now that is entertaining. Thanks for the laugh.

Surprises me, quite frankly that someone as thin skinned as you appear to be has survived on FR this long.

But I will give you the benefit of the doubt, Gator113 must have sent you a private message saying something really terrible.Of course, if he sent you a PM, then it's none of our business.

GOOD GRIEF

First you favored Romney over Palin and now your pushing Romney over Newt. I’m suprised you’ve lasted this long.

Romney is no tough guy. He's a devious, backstabbing, manipulative, underhanded skunk.

Gingrich is smarter, stronger and more experienced.
