It was most definitely. My mom was a convent educated girl from New Orleans. She had a certain naivete about her all of her life. I don't think she would have joined the military if her fiance, who was a flier, hadn't been shot down.

Mom used to tell me that his mother would continually remind her that she, my mother, had to hang on because they were sure to find Bill (the fiance)on one of those islands in the Pacific. My mother felt that she could better "hang on" if she was doing something constructive. Sadly, at the end of it all, Bill was never found.

did this homosexual lie in order to enlist? for that lie she should be expelled.
