I drive a BMW and so do most of my friends ( weird, I know).

I do know for a fact that I am an overly courteous driver because I believe that if I allow someone to cut into my lane, or give an extra ‘thank you’ wave, that my small acts of random kindness will come back to me.

Also it might help the ignorant who believe that those who chose to drive a remarkable piece of engineering actually do it because it’s an amazing driving experience.

I congratulate you for acting contra the stereotype. I also drive conservatively and courteously in my chariot, a KIA Sedona minivan. I am dismayed at how infrequently my acts of courtesy are reciprocated, regardless of the marque. In the Metro D.C. area it seems the typical driver is aggressive, unskilled and in a colossal hurry. When you compound this with a little snow, sheer anarchy results.
