Not sure who I’d vote for in that scenario. Ron Paul would be extremely tempting.

Have you heard the words of those who attacked us on 9/11 as to why they did so? I confess, I have not, but I assume the attacks were not without motivation/provocation. Would you poke a rattlesnake with a stick, and then call someone a “truther” because they said the snake attacked on account of your poking?

You know, that does sound like something Ron Paul might do

They also attacked us while Clinton was President, they were also attacking us back in the 80’s. Islam is at war with the whole world.

True enough. I’m only asking if they’ve attacked without reason or provocation. After all, we did decide to make “home” in their turf, right? Is that smart? Take up residence with rattlesnakes? Again I ask, have you heard them explain the reason for their attacks in their own words, or shall we just stick our fingers in our ears?

I remember one of Osama binDyin’s first video messages addressed to the people of the United States after 9/11. He demanded our immediate conversion to Islam as a condition to preclude further attacks. So, I guess you (and RuPaul) are right, it was our fault. Our fault for not being Muslims, that is.

I admit I once found something refreshing about libertarianism, many years ago. There are aspects of it I can and do still support.

BUT, had we as a nation practiced this branch of the ideology for the last, say, 100 years- we would all be speaking German or Russian now I fear...

Islam is attacking every country on Earth in turn. They have spread across northern Africa and are all the way to the Pacific. They are gaining population in Europe and other countries. They are commanded to conquer the world by the sword.

They don’t need provocation.

On economics they often make sense. Outside of that they are insane.

Do you even know what a Truther is?

Truthers believe our government had a hand in blowing up the trade center/Pentagon to create a war for its own ends.

As far as Islam goes, get a clue. Everywhere Islam is in control they kill and/or enslave all those who are not Muslim.

Most, if not all, of foreign military bases are not owned by the U.S. government, and cannot be sold or auctioned by the U.S. government.

And Lew Rockwell was one of Paul’s speechwriters.

Yup!

I’ll give them some room on personal freedom, but as an areligious philosophy, there is no value base to guide them as to which “free” behaviors are actually detrimental to society. So, they miss it on law enforcement, the military and the role of the USA in the world in a huge way.

They fall into the same trap as so many leftists/communists that people are perfectable.

I haven’t seen or heard, but if that is the only reason for the attack - that we are not Muslim - I would be surprised.

Well then, by your definition, Ron Paul is not a Truther.

I have. UBL issued a fatwa in 1998. His two biggest complaints were the sanctions against Iraq (a country that allegedly had nothing to do with him) and our bases in Saudi Arabia (a country that expelled him and prohibited him from ever entering again).

In the land of Paul, apparently our foreign policy should be determined by the dictates of mass murdering islamist sociopaths.

From a spiritual perspective, if they want this world they can have it and all it's vanity. In the end they lose big time. From a temporal perspective we can stand our ground without setting up shop on their turf and rubbing their noses in it. No?

Wrong.

Alex Jones and Ron Paul are good buddies. Ron Paul is a long running guest on Alex Jones’ radio show. Alex Jones is a major Truther.

It does not hurt to pause and consider whether people under our hire have dictated our foreign policy apart from our interests as a people. How much of our resources have gone into supporting people abroad, and in our own midst, who prefer slavery over freedom?
