On Fox News, they just announced that the House is going on vacation beginning tonight. I certainly hope that is not true. They should work until they pass something. Why can’t they work until Friday. That still gives them 2 days to get home for Christmas.

Actually, it would be fine with me if they just locked the whole place up for a few years and stayed home.

I'm think that the time of the Federal Government has come and gone.

It's more of a hinderance than a help.

The only exception is protecting the nation from foreign attack.

The House appointed it’s conferees.
There’s nothing more they need to, or can, do until the Senators come back from vacation to a conference.

Heck, the conference can probably be done by phone and
then a few members in each chamber will show up and pass whatever they come up with by voice vote.
There’s no problem doing this.

The house did pass a 1 year extension, then the Senate passed a 2 month extension, then the Senate left town. The next step is reconciliation by BOTH houses then another vote by BOTH houses.

The House passed something. The Senate merely Ausfahrted. The Pres(id)ent pontificated and confabulated.

The House passed a bill ~ and the Constitution requires taxes and expenditures to start in the House, so there it is.
