Will this be a tax on the profit generated during a home sale or is this a tax on the sale itself? If this is a tax on the net profit there will be no net profit because housing prices have been so depressed.

You would pay the 3.8% tax on any profit above 250,000 for individual and above 500,000 profit for a couple.

We don't need to spread dishonest fear mongering rumors on FreeRepublic. Obamacare requiring citizens to buy health insurance is bad enough.

Without reading it, I would bet that it would be 3.8% of the sale price.
