The sheriff is a higher authority in his own state than the federal government, and their ouster of him for political reasons is all kinds of illegal. They must have physically overpowered or threatened him. He’s a top cop in Arizona, and they have no jurisdiction over him. Too bad he and his deputies didn’t fend them off, for it would be perfectly legal for them to do so.
