Much of the propaganda for rushing off to yet another war [ Iran will be much harder to conquer than Iraq was ] was based entirely on a deliberate misquote! Ahmadinejad never said that he wanted to "wipe Israel off of the map". He said he wanted to see the "occupation regime of Jerusalem to vanish from the page of times". That is not the same thing as claiming he said he wanted to wipe an entire country off of the map. I highly doubt that even the most devout truly want to go onto a suicidal path as they have children & grandchildren as well.
