Qatar: host to the US military, al-Jazeera, the Muslim Brotherhood– and now, the world’s first Taliban embassy– at the behest of the Obama administration.
On his Facebook page, Big Peace contributor Walid Phares brought my attention to a report in the Pakistani website The Nation that Hamad bin Jassem al-Thani, the premier of US ally Qatar, is prepared to open an embassy for the “Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan”– otherwise known as the Taliban.
He said, “A solution in Afghanistan requires the participation of the Taliban in a way that must be decided by the Afghans.”

Western diplomats have said it is hoped the opening of a Taliban office would push forward the prospect of talks intended to reconcile insurgents with the Afghan government and end the decade-long war.
This story was first reported around the time of the 9/11 anniversary and it’s not a surprise that Obama himself downplayed the news. As The Australian wrote in September:

And all these military sell-outs need to be cataloged for future reference and exposure. They must not be allowed to go without condemnation for enabling a non eligible POTUSA if Obama is indeed even a citizen. I have no awe of politicians, judges or generals. As moral, ethical citizens they must meet and stand the same scrutiny and judgement as anyone else who has survived as a dedicated citizen who have served to keep the Nation of the Founders.

As an Army veteran of both OEF and OIF and having been stationed in Qatar, I am filled with rage for my fellow brothers and sisters that I have served with. Obama is not serving as a real Commander in Chief and looking after the best interests of the military, he is pouring salt in the wounds of all those who served during GWOT.
I don’t care what he “thinks” I know what I served for even if the rest of the rats in Washington have conveniently forgotten. Must have been nice being able to compaign and go on golf trips while conjuring up your legacy while some of us were being shot at and attacked on a regular basis by these same bastards that you ant to appease.
