It will be interesting to compare some of the victims’ testimonies as compared to McQueary’s.

If they spent nights at Toftree’s and ate breakfasts with the team, it would seem inevitable that McQueary would see them.
Some victims describe being taken to practices.

Sandusky could have been sneaky enough to choose these “dates” carefully, by picking times when McQueary was out of town I suppose.

I understand your logic, but perhaps I haven't laid out all the facts. Sandusky only attended the pre-game overnights at Toftrees when he was an active football coach at Penn State. He did not, to our knowledge, attend overnights at Toftrees when he was a retired faculty member/coach emeritus from 2000-2011. However, as a coach emeritus, he had an office in the special football building, and a parking space, and keys and access to all of the athletic facilities, including the special football facilities, 24/7. He had his keys to the football showers taken away in 2002 after (at least) the second incident of him raping a pre-teen boy in the football showers. But he retained his keys to other football and athletic facilities until November 6 of this year. He was able to continue to molest boys, but not at Toftrees, since 1999.

We specifically know Sandusky attending pre-game banquets and sleepovers at Toftrees with "Victim #4" during the 1998 and 1999 football seasons while Sandusky was the Defensive Coordinator for the Nittany Lions.

Sandusky announced his retirement in July 1999, effective at the end of the 1999 season. In May 1998, the investigation regarding Sandusky showering with boys was started by the Centre County District Attorney's (Ray Gricar) office, the University Park police, the Penn State University police, and Pennsylvania's child welfare. Although Gricar declined to indict (Sandusky didn't do anything sexual to Victim #6 or "B.K," who could not be found for the 2008 state investigation that led to the 2011 indictments), there was a report that took a "long time" to produce. Penn State AD Curley and Senior Vice President for Business and Finance Schultz were surprised at how large it was.

In May 1999, a year after the investigation of Sandusky began, the report must have been complete, because that's when Paterno told Sandusky that he wouldn't succeed Paterno. Until more details came out, Paterno apologists pointed to this action as proof that Paterno "did something" about Sandusky. But Sandusky's surprise announcement of early retirement wasn't effective until the end of the 1999 season. So he took Victim #4 with him to Toftree's sleepovers that entire season. And Paterno sat at the coaches' table with Sandusky and that boy the night before each home game. (I wonder what went through Paterno's mind when he made eye contact with Victim #4? Or Sandusky? I wonder what went through Victim #4's mine when he made eye contact with JoePa? Did Sandusky think "Wow, JoePa''s a peach of a guy, letting me retire instead of firing me . . . and letting me bring a boy to statutorily rape . . . I wonder if the veal's good tonight?") And Sandusky returned to him room and sexually molested the boy in the shower and bedroom of his room at Toftree's.

At the end of the year, Penn State played in the Alamo Bowl. Sandusky was allowed to bring Victim #4 with him to San Antonio as part of the Penn State contingent. There, he molested the boy. Sandusky's under investigation by the San Antonio police now. Again, this would be three years before McQueary saw Sandusky rape the boy in the football showers.

The Penn State football program dedicated the Alamo Bowl to Sandusky. When Penn State shut out Texas A&M 24-0 (the only bowl shutout in Paterno's career), Sandusky was the person doused with Gatorade, and Sandusky was carried off the field on the players' shoulders. He probably raped Victim #4 again that night.

I have this image of Sandusky boarding the plane to go to San Antonio. As he does, Paterno and the players present him with fourteen-year-old Victim #4, wrapped with a big red ribbon and a card that says "Enjoy Your Early Retirement." Jerry Sandusky wipes a tear from his eyes and says "Gee guys, I was only expecting a watch."
