If I can travel to China I should be able to travel to Cuba. Its simply none of the governments business where I go.
I agree. I can’t wait until they open up Cuba for travel. I hear it is beautiful. I went to China (beijing) and you would have thought I was in New York City. It wasn’t until I went to the Great Wall that I thought I was in another country. I stayed at the Hilton, ate breakfast at Dunkin Donuts, lunch at McD’s, dinner at Hard Rock. It is VERY Americanized. I can hardly believe that some Americans slam the place. It is a fun place to vacation.
Once you get outside of the tourist area, Cuba is a mess. I saw a video shot a few years back by some friends who went there on an educational visa to see the old Hershey electric railway...the small towns looked like something out of the fifth world.
We were fools to pull our support of Batista (admittedly no saint) in 1958, just as we did the Shah in 1979.
