SAN FRANCISCO Gov. Jerry Brown railed Thursday against politicians who doubt climate change, calling them "political lemmings" and the chief obstacle in the fight against global warming.
"The main thing we have to deal with in climate change is the skepticism, the denial and the cult-like behavior of the political lemmings that would take us over the cliff," the Democratic governor said at a high-profile conference on climate change at the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco.
At a conference that included Brown's predecessor, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Virgin Group founder Richard Branson, Brown said climate change has lengthened the state's fire season and quickened its snowmelt, affecting agriculture and taxing public infrastructure.
He acknowledged Californians have been "squeezed" by the flagging economy, but he said investment is necessary to stem the effect of global warming.

Right, Jerry. Global Warming. And what’s the thermostat set to in Sacramento right now?
Why don’t you give that speech to the farmers in the San Joaquin Valley. The ones you and your environmental whack job friends are destroying in order to protect a non-indigenous bait fish.
Is there a sane politician in California these days?

and the main thing we “sceptics” have to contend with is the pro global warming faction that keeps insisting without any substantiation other than with an agenda “they say”, or “experts say”, or “the IPCC says”, and the like.
THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS AGW. WE DON’T LIVE IN A GLOBE. We live on one.
Not since Tom McClintock got elected to the House of Representatives.
fyi
From the Dan Rather school of thought:
“It’s not the accuracy of the report, it’s the seriousness of the charge”
Old Jerry, and many of his tree hugger friends, think because it’s serious, we should act, even if it’s not true.
sane is so not so California these days, sad to say, the state used to have a vision, now its on an autopilot agenda driving it off the cliff.. at a moderate pace.
btw,, I hear one CA conservative politacritter is moving to Texas to run there.
I live in California. I see more and more Californians with green jobs every day. All of them are dumpster divers. If it were not for Moonbeam and Shitzenneger they might be able to find other lines of work. The economy is so bad here that some people cannot afford a bus ticket to get out of here.
This idiot doesn’t get to run for re-election, does he? I mean we’re finally rid of him in a couple years?
This idiot doesnt get to run for re-election, does he? I mean were finally rid of him in a couple years? He'll be reelected in a landslide. And the terms that he served before term-limits were enacted don't count.
We'll never be rid of the old toad.
Jerry. The gig is up. Save your CO2 breath. The only science involved in the FRAUD was POLITICAL.

Frankly, I could care less what Ah-nuld has to say about anything anymore. Nor will I ever spend a single penny of my money supporting any movie or other project he does in the future.
And I can sum up why in two words: Luis Santos.
“This idiot doesnt get to run for re-election, does he?”
I think he can run for re-election. His first two terms were before the term limit law was passed. Brown is like a cockroach, his species never goes extinct.
Jerry’s below 50% on job approval here in Cali; also voters will not approve his plan to raise taxes and want the chance to vote down Brown’s pet “high speed rail” project.
Over 60% think the state is on the wrong track. Gee, ya THINK?
Arnold who?
