South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley endorsed Mitt Romney for president Friday, saying he has the executive experience in the private and public sectors that proves he can deal "with a broken Washington."

The tea party/conservative movement have dropped the ball in this election cycle. The failure to coalesce around a credible conservative candiate has left the party establishment in the drivers seat. They are splitting between the bland choice and the eccentric choice and leaving conservatives with no choice.
Blaming conservatives and the TP?? Hmmmm.....
I blame the GOP establishment and their Corleone tactics, the media, Hollywood, so-called “independents/moderates”, and so many blind and ignorant sheeple out there.
I also blame the mormon cult in their blind identity-politics support of Mittens, without whom he wouldn’t even be in the picture now.
In the end, though, if either Romney or Obama get elected, then America deserves it, and restoring her short of a second civil war or violent revolution would be a lost cause.
Because it would be, by far, the weakest ticket the GOP could put up.
>>I wonder, like Ann Coulter, Christine the witch and now Haley, does she want to be one of Romneys many wives???
Women tend to vote on height and hair. The 19th Amendment has destroyed America.
I think that's a tad hyperbolic. Romney doesn't agree with you on a limited number of items on your list. Obama doesn't agree with you on almost every single item. Just something to ponder. The way I look at it, better to concede a few things to someone who's broadly in agreement with me (Romney), than to lose everything to someone who wants to take everything I own from me and hand it over to his favorite causes (Obama).
She wants in. Unfortunately that means she will eventually be out.
Not this one
Conservatives would benefit greatly if their party had an ideological litmus or purity test; that is if any would-be candidate does not meet/pass then gets banned by law from running.
I think the same should apply to voters: they must be either pure conservative or pure progressive in order to vote or join one of the two parties. Moderates and independents should be purged and prohibited by law from voting.
The GOP obviously needs a good-old-fashioned Soviet-style purge of moderates/independents and non-conservatives.
Agree.
I think it’s a bit simpler/ You run as the incumbent party in a good economy or as the out party in a bad economy. that usually helps.
Obama won only because of white guilt? I don’t think so.
I think W’s 25% approval rating, the worst economic meltdown since the Depression, the near 70% disapproval of Iraq, and Obama’s 400 million dollar spending edge all helped more than white guilt.
Lets face it, no Republican was going to win in 2008 after the economy collapsed. If the economy stayed as it was before Labor Day and W was even at 40% McCain likely wins.
With W at 25% and everything else going on he had no chance.
Next year will come down to economy. If by the fall it’s seen as improving and getting better, Obama will win against anyone. If unemployment is down at 8% or even below he’ll win. If it’s seen as getting worse and it’s back up around 9% or higher, he’ll lose. To anyone.
That’s really what it will come down to.
I’m so disgusted with these supposed conservatives who have no shame in compromising on the very values of what it means to be a conservative. The country’s in serious trouble and all they care about is having the “best looking” guy to beat Obama. We need to get behind a real leader like Gingrich and instead of biting our nails being afraid he won’t beat Obama, work like heck to see that he does beat Obama. And if they can’t stomach Gingrich, back Perry, Bachmann or Santorum. Romney wouldn’t be much of an improvement over Obama so what use is he? I’m so ashamed of Haley, Coulter, George Will and the rest.
And what’s up with the establishment and the media acting like Romney’s the frontrunner? I was just watching Hannity and Ed Rollins said “whoever turns out to be the challenger to Romney, whether it’s Gingrich or Perry....” What the heck is he talking about? Have these people been under a rock? Gingrich is trouncing Romney and I don’t believe for a minute that Romney will win Iowa and maybe not even NH. He certainly won’t win SC or Florida.
Nikki is a TOOL . They fear NEWT. Period
All this endorsement shows is that Romney is desperate.
Does Romney realize that Free Republic will Rally and probably have fund raisers to DEFEAT him in order to write in Sarah or Newt?
That is a FACT.. The majority of Freerepublic.com Will NEVER vote for Romney
ROMNEY = OBAMA FACT

I don’t know that he’s gotten a pass.
I live in Maryland and like MOST of the 50 state primaries, Perry will be LONG GONE by the time we vote here. In fact, by then all but Mittens will be tapped out. Democracy? Are you still buying that myth? The fix for Mitt is in. Watch it happen.
Yuk. I hope this backfires.
