All is not lost for you. There is a bright side [pun intended ;-)]. With all the bulbs you now have you've beat inflation. Even with 100 watt bulbs staying on the shelves you know that prices will still keep going up on them. But not for you.
It's like the 'Forever Stamps' the Post Office started selling when they were $0.37 each, I bought 300 of them. With the minimal amount of mailing I do -- not even one a month now -- they should last me 'forever' also. Heck, I don't even know what a 1st Class Stamp costs today, nor do I care as I'm set.
So just look at it from a cost savings stand point :-)
Thank you for that bit of cheering-up. I was beginning to feel like a real dupe (or dope?) for buying those damn bulbs. At least they will go to use - unlike most of my “forever” stamps!
Until the U.S.P.S. goes out of business and Fedex won't accept your stamps.
Those 100 watt bulbs would look great as string of Christmas lights on the outside of a house. ;-)
A 1st Class stamp is 44 cents now, as are all current “forever” stamps. But they are going up again in February. So, every time I go to the P.O., I buy a couple hundred more stamps.
I have to hurry up and use up last year’s Christmas stamps (the angel with the lute), because they were NOT “forever”. My husband was hospsitalized last Christmas, and I never got the cards out.
