Exactly. I explained to my husband how the fix was in for Romney a long time ago. He didn't believe me, but he said if I turned out to be right - he's done with politics, because our opinions don't matter anyway.
As long as the GOP establishment is choosing our candidates for us, why do we bother to pay any attention to politics at all? Isn't there something more productive we could be doing?
If Romney takes the primaries, we're done. We're all going to hunker down and let GOP sort it out.
If you remember, the Tea Party was doing “something”. The Tea Party left the tracks by allowing themselves to be swallowed into the GOP.
The power of the Tea Party was that they could keep the pressure on all politicians of any party. Backing unproven or risky candidates was a mistake. They all pretended to be Tea Party until they set foot in DC.
If they had stayed away from candidates, they would still be feared by the GOP as well as the democraps.
But I agree with you, The fix is in and it was promised to Romney in 2008 that 2012 would be his if he backed off and supported McLame. McCain was promised the nomination in 2008, it was his turn.
That’s the thing. The GOP Old Guard must be overthrown from within, so the blessings of the Holy PACs can be used to leverage endorsements of conservatives, rather than liberals.
