The influential writer and cultural critic Christopher Hitchens died on Thursday at the age of 62 from complications of cancer of the esophagus. Hitchens confronted his disease in part by writing, bringing the same unsparing insight to his mortality that he had directed at so many other subjects.
Over the years, Hitchens' caustic attention was directed at a broad range of subjects, including Henry Kissinger, Prince Charles, Bob Hope, Michael Moore, the Dalai Lama and Mother Teresa.

Dear Lord. Chris....I may not have agreed with you on so many things.....but I loved your candor and wit. Rest in peace. You will be missed.
Mother Theresa is up there begging for his forgiveness.
Hitchens was a good writer and his best was on Michelle Obama’s thesis. He called it “unreadable” or something like that. Check it out.

Christopher Hitchens was not impressed with Michelle Obama’s Princeton thesis: He wrote
“To describe [the thesis] as hard to read would be a mistake; the thesis cannot be ‘read’ at all, in the strict sense of the verb. This is because it wasn’t written in any known language.”
.... and now he can try splainin’ some thing to God.

He was right on islamic fascism, way before most.
Ozmanidus was a character who imparted wisdom to the main character, in the Tripods Trilogy. Is that where you got your handle.
Those were the first books I read by myself as a child, and I remember them to this day, I have loved to read ever since.
