If you are applying for early benefits, and continue to work fulltime, you will be subject to an earnings test and an offset of your benefit - that goes away when you reach full retirement age.

Exactly. They’ll deduct a huge chunk because I’ll be earning a lot, but at least I’ll get something before it flatlines. And if it somehow lasts another 5 years, I’ll get some or all of that back.
