For some historical perspective 2007 campaign:
In interviews, Paul, a U.S. congressman from Texas, often says that he doesnt endorse the views of all of his supporters or donors.
Continued -In an interview with Neil Cavuto from Fox News on Dec. 19, Paul addressed the question of returning a $500 donation from white supremacist Ron Black, the founder of Stormfront: Why give it back to him for bad purposes? I dont even know his name. He sent the money for my beliefs. If he is promoting my viewpoints and my attitudes, why give it back to him when he has bad viewpoints and I dont endorse anything he endorses?
It is this distancing that has upset White. In his letter, White continues:
For his spokesman to call white racialism a small ideology and claim white activists are wasting their money trying to influence Paul is ridiculous He adds in another part of the letter, Both Congressman Paul and his aides regularly meet with members of the Stormfront set, American Renaissance, the Institute for Historical Review, and others at a Thai restaurant in Arlington, Va., usually on Wednesdays.
This is not the first time Pauls alleged connections to white nationalists have been an issue. Michigan Messenger reported in November on other allegations.
And for two decades he allowed newsletters to be written in his name full of racist crap. And no, I don’t buy that he didn’t know about them. Not only did it go on for so long but it was also written in the first person telling personal stories.
