Much of America, including many staunch conservatives, never bought into Palin's shell game. Those of you who did never read the signs correctly and projected much of what you wanted onto her.

A candid look at her activities since quitting in Alaska shows that the overwhelming expense of energy was not on running for office but on making money and ginning up the palin brand.

There was no mistaking this when she spent the time and money to actually trademark the name (and screwed the application up the first time).

The lustre was long gone and the utter failure of her over-hyped movie proved that America just doesn't care. she saw the writing on the wall (finally) and quit the fight (again). None of this was a surprise to many of us.

Palin never was what you seem to have wanted her to be.

She actually told people on many occasions that she really didn’t like the constrictions of elected office. She wants to say and do what she wants.

But they didn’t listen and still don’t. She doesn’t want the job of President or she would have entered early on.

She obviously really enjoys the glam of TV and media more.

Nothing wrong with that. Just an observation.

If your premise is true, then Palin’s writing was a fraud and so was she. This is impossible due to the content of her writing and willingness to say what she said in front of a camera. Being jaded is one thing, calling her a fraud is another.

There is no perfect candidate. Let’s put our families in her shoes...could we take it? I doubt it.

I appreciate everything folks have said in this lively discussion; I believe no matter the differences, we have to rid our great country of the Commie-in-chief before the country is gone.

You been living under a rock or something? In this day and age, you have to be a "rock star" and buy your position in politics. There aren't any poor anonymous people running for President.
