I got an email from the Romney campaign the other day. I have never visited his website or given out my email to any other campaign of any sort EXCEPT I donated to McCain/Palin in '08.
What do you guys think? Did John McCain give Mitt Romney his email list of those who supported the McCain/Palin campaign?
I am beyond annoyed.
Has this happened to anyone else?
Give? I highly doubt it.
Sold? Yeah, probably.
Yes. I am P-oed as well.
Yes, it has happened to me too.
Romney is also spending good money sending me long love letters too. I let him. The trash can is on the way from the mailbox to the porch, so his stuff is no real burden.
That’s what manual entries in the spam filter are for.
I’ve heard about this before. The answer seems to be yes.
It could have been a staffer who took the list and later gave/sold it to someone else. It happens quite a bit.
Have not received anything from Romney yet.
Better not either.
Is this part of this? (The Dems LUUUUUV them some Romney, and IMO, will try to sway the voters to him:
It’s common for your data to be sold. Your data could have been sold by a company, if you signed up for a loyalty card.
There is an article on Drudge about Obama wanting Republican’s e-mail addresses. Timely. Yesterday I got an e-mail from senator Merkely (D-OR).
I donated to McCain/Palin in 2008(Actually I voted for Palin but thats a whole other story :-)
So far have not received any email from Romney, if I did I would give them a good what for but nope, thankfully no email
Yes.
Myth and his pals have been emailing constantly for months.
I held my nose and donated/voted McCain...no emails yet from Romney.
No doubt! Happens all the time!
Look on the bright side: Romney is wasting his resources.
Yup, me too.
Bet on it.
Selling, not giving, email addresses is the norm for any campaign. However, you’re naive if you think sites you visit aren’t tracking your activity! And, thus, acquiring your email info. They then sell those addresses to whomever wants to buy. Remember to delete your cookies often, as well as, your Internet history.
