Re: If a Fraudulent Vote

Christian: I love when the Left tries to claim that voter fraud (which the hacks and non-entities over at Media Mutters conveniently narrowly define) is nearly non-existent. I’ll have more to say on the subject tomorrow in my New York Post column about Eric Holder’s speech last night in Austin, but just for laughs let’s flash back to Big Tim Sullivan (the author, by the way, of New York’s infamous Sullivan Act) as he recounts one of glories of Tammany Hall: election stealing:

When you’ve voted ‘em with their whiskers on, you take ‘em to a barber and scrape off the chin fringe. Then you vote ‘em again with the side lilacs and a mustache. Then to a barber again, off comes the sides and you vote ‘em a third time with the mustache. If that ain’t enough and the box can stand a few more ballots, clean off the mustache and vote ‘em plain face. That makes every one of ‘em good for four votes.

And that was just in New York. Imagine what it’s like in, say, Chicago.

I also like your observation that there’s a kind of Fox Butterfield Effect going on with the crime statistics:

The areas where vote fraud is most likely to occur are also those where it is least likely to end in prosecution. Vote fraud is most prevalent in big cities with large populations — which are almost uniformly represented by Democratic district attorneys. There likely aren’t a lot of Democratic DA’s who wake up every morning and say, “Gee, I wonder if I can demonstrate to the public that my party is engaging in vote fraud, and in the process, cost myself votes.”

Well, duh. And so the Democrats continue blithely on with their big-city machines handing out walking-around money (i.e. bribes) to vote, extending poll hours past closing time, and miraculously finding just enough previously uncounted ballots stashed away somewhere to hand them victory. In fact, an uncharitable person might suggest that by holding out their big-city vote totals until the last minute, as they often do, the Democrats can figure out exactly how many votes they have to steal in order to win. As some idiot wrote a while back:

In other words, stop thinking of the Democratic Party as merely a political party, because it’s much more than that. We’re not just the party of slavery, segregation, secularism, and sedition. Not just the party of Aaron Burr, Boss Tweed, Richard J. Croker, Bull Connor, Chris Dodd, Richard Daley, Bill Ayers, the Reverend Jeremiah Wright, and Emperor Barack Hussein Obama II. Not just the party of Kendall “Agent 202” Myers, the State Department official recruited as a Cuban spy along with his wife during the Carter administration. Rather, think of the Democratic Party as what it really is: a criminal organization masquerading as a political party.

Couldn’t have said it better myself.

I have never thought of them as anything else.

It seems that there's an investigation pending in Indiana because it may be that Obama wasn't actually eligible to be on the primary ballot. It seems that a substantial number of signatures to get him on the ballot were fraudulent.

And you've got to LOVE the way holder is working hard to make sure that all voter identification laws are overturned. I'm sure he'll do something to derail that investigation.
