The left is calling Newt “devisive”.

Right now, they are compiling tons of video clips and statements from his past.

Newt and Romney both will have an extremely outside chance of beating Obama.

Both have questionable conservative credentials and both represent the stereotypical target that the left wing machine projects Republicans to be.

Either one probably would go down in flames in a general election.

Yet the Republican establishment is so fwady-cat wanting to immediately run to the “center” and be wishy-washy, romancing the average rube, that they fail to see how the type of candidate the establishment thinks will win is exactly the opposite of what 70% of Americans are looking for. This is somebody with Christian moral values and a reliably pro-free-enterprise, small-business, hawkish, outsider stance who will actually eliminate a fair amount of the government bureaucracy. They are undeniably NOT looking for retreads - anyone who’s been on planet earth since the 2010 elections must know that the average voter is definitely against political retreads. The political highways of America are strewn with political road gators confirming that fact.

Bachmann and Santorum are the only ones left who both exhibit a sincere dedication to conservative values and ideas and have a small enough political footprint so they perhaps would consider standing alone on a policy instead of working within the establishment.

Washington recognized the importance of the President having his own mind and not necessarily siding with any other politician or even what’s popular with the people, but doing what is in the best interest of the nation as a whole - for the future - even if no one else sees or wants to admit the truth. That’s the check and balance role peculiar to the Presidency, and it’s one that powerful career politicians may have difficulty with, IMHO.

Heck, Ron Paul would stand a better chance than Newt or Mitt. People would surmise that Paul would eliminate at least something, maybe, from the government. While he talks anti-war now, we all know that things change for a candidate once elected. Even the islamo-commie-wannabee in the WH now - who ranted against the use of the military - mysteriously gives any order that are really urgently needed. I don’t know if he’s drunk or not, but “somehow” the orders are given.

That being said, people with real common sense, and the right principles, are Michele and Rick.

Will all those blindly-loyal Republican establishment voters actually stay home or vote for Obama ? I don’t think so. Michele or Rick would do far better than many imagine today, IMHO.

Why don’t you give it up? Bachmann and Santorum are not going to win this thing... Gov. Perry, maybe. Otherwise it’s Newt or Mitt.

As for me, I would choose Newt. If you can bring Bachmann and Santorum to the top by your efforts - God Bless you, I just don’t see that happening...
