Really a question for everyone,not really the person im replying to.Since God has decreed that this will all happen anyway in His word,and with it happening, usher in Christs return,,,,.Why should we try repenting and turning back if that would only delay His return?God already said we wont,,so come Christ and come quickley,and end this continued suffering.

I have agonized a long time about that very idea/question.

Like Paul, he came to the conclusion that it was better for him to stay here than to "go home"

Your question (and many have wondered, as well) might have been answered by Jesus at Gethsemane...He knew His fate; yet, He prayed.
