I was thinking the same! They left the scene where the hospital was bombed, and we were led to believe she’d been killed.

Is this the nurse who is portrayed in “Band of Brothers?”My immediate thought as well. I know there were many others who so acted under extreme conditions to help those wounded during that awful battle. God bless them all.
As an aside, if any of you folks ever have a chance to visit Bastogne and walk through the wooded copses surrounding the village, I would encourage you to do so. It is a spiritual event. Personally, I've never looked at life quite the same way afterward, nor neglected to pay tribute to those who helped make my free life possible.
