Tebow fever grips Denver
The Washington Times ^ | December 12,2011 | Valerie Richardson

Maybe this is how the residents of Bethlehem felt.

Coloradans — even the non-football fans — are as shocked and awed as anyone by the miracle occurring in their own backyard with the rise of Tim Tebow, the Denver Broncos quarterback and quite possibly the most famous Christian bachelor to walk the Earth in the past 2,000 years.

The “Mile-High Messiah” — just one of the many nicknames he’s acquired since arriving here last year — has led the city’s flagging NFL franchise on an improbable 6-1 run this season. In the process, he’s halted the team’s slide into midsize-market mediocrity and placed the Mountain Time zone at the center of the media universe.

“I think it’s been huge. He’s the talk of the NFL,” said Mohammed Suleiman, who runs a new pro-Tebow message every Monday on the electronic sign outside the headquarters of Multiline International Imports in Denver. “Every week, they talk about him on the news and ESPN. Just to be a part of that here in Colorado is a great feelin

I like Tim, and think he is being help alot by a good kicker and a strong defense. Brady might light up Mile Sunday, then you wonder where the Tebow praise will be.

But Tim will come back and fight the next week. Here is him after the Ole Miss in college

If he loses sunday, he won’t give up, and will do what he can to take them to the playoffs.

Get a kick out of all the Tebow Haters having to backtrack

ESPN has been quite nasty...and it is apparent that their hate of Tebow is not because of football ability...but because of his faith.

Tebow has rallied the whole team around to one goal...winning. Tebow does more than talk...he is the hardest working man in sports, period.

I have seen no one on there offering advice to the Broncos on what strategies to follow to beat the Patriots.

As a long time Denver Bronco season ticket holder my advice is score early and often ... it would be nice if Tebow's receivers started catching his passes early in the game, instead of in the last five minutes of the fourth quarter. Brady will put points on the board, get too far behind with him and you're not going to catch up before the game clock runs out ... guaranteed.

Tough test this weekend. Two key defensive players left the game and I don’t know what their status is for next Sunday. Plus, the Patriots are coming to town. If that game goes south for the Broncos we’ll find out who Tebow’s fair weather fans are.

Tebow will lose a game here pretty soon and all the Atheists will breathe a sigh of relief. Tebow deserves and will get a good career.

I compare him to Steve Young. He needs some receivers that can catch a lefty with consistency.

That's really what it comes down to isn't it?

I live in Michigan and have always been a Packer fan, but most important, a Favre fan.....as well as a Peyton and Eli Manning fan. Not so much teams but their quarterbacks.

Now that Tebow has come on the scene, I like him and what he stands for so he's now one of my favorites too..........

If you want to get a true picture of the network coverage of Bronco games go to ‘the 506.com’ ... they’re drawing more viewer coverage than any team in the NFL ... excepting, of course, their opponent for any given game.

Thank you, in the name of the Lord. The Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit, the Tebow, and the Prater.

FR is going to need to implement daily rationing of Tebow threads, the Miracle is getting more attention than international wars, domestic tyranny, and politics, he’s getting more thread replies than the politics threads!

Come on people, focus here.

:P

I had to turn that game off when they went 3 and out in the middle of the 4th...glad we turned it back on....

TT is not a Manning, or a Farve, or a Brady....he is what he is...

IMO what he "is" is a very careful player...very caustious....doesn't throw the ball up just to increase his stats...

I notice that he doesn't make mistakes when it counts...

he gives the team a chance and the team is really playing super....

Every pundit and wanna-be pundit within reach of a keyboard feels compelled to write an obligatory Tebow commentary. It’s a little much.

Heck, as you know dfwgator, we all have been Gators through far, FAR worse, LOL, but watching Tebow at Denver has been SO much fun this season. We are honored, truly honored to have been witness to the extraordinary power of this young man’s faith, from the very first moment he stepped onto the field at Florida.

May God guide our course.

Pass, pass and pass. Look closely and you'll see they are using wide receivers and/or undrafted free agents as DB's. I don't believe they have faced a first string QB in 5 or 6 weeks. The Pats, despite their 10-3 record, will flop in the playoffs.

At least he can kick the FGs in Denver...what about Miami and Houston?

The kicker didn't throw the TD pass.
