Ron Paul is the Rodney Dangerfield of Republican presidential candidates.... Why, despite a small but devoted set of supporters, does this 76-year-old obstetrician turned politician routinely get no respect from the media and GOP operatives?...
1. Ron Paul is not a "top-tier" candidate.
...Paul is doing increasingly well in national and state-level polls.... And now that Cain has dropped out, Paul's stock is likely to keep climbing. The congressman is no less a top-tier candidate than anyone else in the race.2. Ron Paul is a doctrinaire libertarian.
...Paul parts company with many libertarians on many issues. These include immigration, where he favors ending birthright citizenship and reducing the number of newcomers until the welfare state is dismantled. Paul says abortion law should be settled at the state level, but in Congress in 2005, 2007, 2009 and this year he introduced the Sanctity of Life Act....3. Ron Paul's call to "end the Fed" is crazy.
...Paul's bill to audit the Fed, which has been introduced three years in a row and hasn't passed, but had more than 300 co-sponsors in the House in 2009. Paul introduced a new version in January that has 195 co-sponsors drawn from both parties....4. Ron Paul is anti-military.
Unlike his fellow, er, top-tier candidates Gingrich and Romney, Paul served his country in uniform, as an Air Force captain.... While Pentagon brass might oppose his defense cuts, troops seem to like what he is saying....5. Ron Paul has strong youth support because he wants to legalize drugs.
Paul's popularity among younger voters he's called a "rock star" on the college circuit stems from the idealism of his politics. Kids rally behind his faith in the future, belief in the individual and confidence in bottom-up decision-making....

I try to follow that principle, but I slip up sometimes.
I have no idea. Passive aggressive much? Shheesh. I said I wasn't a supporter. I posted a link to a video where Paul gave a perfectly reasonable response. Signing off this thread!
#1 - Ron Paul thinks that Iran wants to be a nuclear power for peaceful reasons.
#2 - Ron Paul thinks a border fence would be used to keep us in.
#3 - Ron Paul packs the budget full of pork for his district, then votes no on the budget.
#4 - Ron Paul is takes money from neo-nazis and has anti-Semitic ghost writers speak for him.
#5 - Ron Paul thinks that Iran wants to be a nuclear power for peaceful reasons.
Now, I realize that it technically only 4 reasons, but #1 and #5 are so critical as they must be repeated.
I suppose they wanted to make the Shiites strong enough to keep the Sunnis from returning to power. Isn’t the current military of Iraq weaker than the military before the invasion?
Yeah and Newt and Romney aren’t nutjob egomaniacs. Sure.
1) R-U-N Paul is NOT a conservative. He's a Libertarian.
2) R-U-N Paul blames America for 9/11/01 - some people paid close attention to his words during the 2008 campaign. His campaign was aligned with the Truthers.
3) R-U-N Paul is an Isolationist. He believes that withdrawing from the rest of the world will result in countries that do not like America to magically change.
4 R-U-N Paul lies about being anti-pork. He has put pork into bills, voted against them knowing they would pass, but then claims he's anti-pork. He's a liar.
5) R-U-N Paul supports allowing Iran to develop nuclear weapons. R-U-N Paul is batsh!t crazy and should NOT be in Congress, let alone anywhere near the White House.
Here's a truth about crazy LRon the surrender monkey: Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul said Thursday evening that Bush administration officials were gleeful after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks because it gave them a pretext to invade Iraq.
The US military including US Special Forces have spent the last 7-8 years training the Iraqi military. Draw your own conclusions.
Hmm.. that means he’s been here before.
And Ron Paul. Ron Paul is a traitorous bastard. He said “911 prompted glee in the Bush administration”.
Enough talk about him.
I still want Palin or Cain in that order.
1. Bat
2. Guano
3. Crazy
Yes, Ru is the crazy know it all uncle who you feel obligated to ask for dinner once a year. After a few too many brandy old fashioneds, he talks non stop at the dinner table about the good ol’ days when he had to walk ten miles to school barefoot in a blizzard. When he goes home, you feel relieved that you don’t have to see him again for a long time.
Mr. Paul needs to go away. I don’t care about his sound fiscal views. He cannot and will not be our next President.
He is only muddying the waters and should go back to the seat at the bar of the local pub where he has a following.
Only thing worse than watching him at the debates is having to listen to son Rand singing his father’s praises on Hannity’s radio show.
I don't agree with every position of every candidate for the Republican nomination. I might even agree with Paul more than others that I could actually vote for but His anti-American rhetoric forever disqualifies him in my eyes.
The Iraqi army fought Iran to a draw. Could they do that today?
Captain Kirk?
Oh, Bats... you just got yourself put on a list.
I’m a Ron Paul fan myself, but I don’t talk about him here. It’s not worth getting shouted down, or purged.
Ok put me on that list too.
I suspect there are a lot of Ron Paul supporters here that are just watching and waiting to vote!
I stopped posting articles on Ron Paul, after having them removed as rino spam, yea right..see ya at the polls.
Wouldn't surprise me.
